MUMBAI:
1. Baroke

If you are a fan of old-school music and love a retro vibe, India’s first vinyl bar, nestled in the heart of South Mumbai, is calling your name. With over 220 handpicked records spanning Jimi Hendrix, Stan Getz, The Doors, George Benson, Bryan Adams, and Dave Brubeck, Baroke pays tribute to the golden eras of music. At its heart is a custom DJ console surrounded by crates of vinyl, but if you want to spend some time with your music, there is a dedicated headphone zone, inspired by Japanese listening rooms. The cocktail menu hosts nine exclusive cocktails and the food is designed for mood and flavour, split into Fresh, Spice, Familiar, Umami and Sweet. Before you leave, don’t forget to browse their vinyl shop.
Hot Take: Try the Kerala-style mutton fry with paratha, miso-glazed chicken with sticky rice, or crispy fish tacos with kimchi and pair it with either the Vetiver Gimlet made with khus-infused gin.
2. Nova

If you’ve got a soft spot for gelato (and a serious sweet tooth), say hello to Bandra’s newest scoop haven—Nova Artisan Gelato. Wrapped in coral pink and brushed steel, the space is inspired by the texture of gelato, with details like a melting column and a ceiling swirl of light. The menu rotates through 14 imaginative flavours equal parts Italian and Indian nostalgia. There are bonbon affogatos, frozen bites, dreamy sundaes, and coffee by Nandan. And if you like to keep a balance – there’s savoury fare by Pastel to keep things in check.
Hot Take: Don’t miss the flagship. Powered by Bandra croissant gelato: buttery, golden, and toasted just enough to feel like a hug.
3. Wagamama

Wagamama has finally touched down in India, setting up its first outpost at the iconic Cambata Building in South Mumbai. This cult-favourite Asian eatery, with its roots in Tokyo’s fast-paced ramen bars, brings a slice of slurp-worthy comfort to the city’s dining scene. The minimal and warm space is just what you need when you're craving a hearty bowl of soul food. The menu includes international favourites, including katsu curry, yasai yaki soba, spicy donburi bowls and the ever-popular bang bang cauliflower (and bang bang prawns, for good measure). Ramen fans can pick from rich broths like chicken tantanmen and the vegan-friendly kare burosu, while bao and gyoza lovers are covered with fillings that span from prawn and lamb to vegetables. Save space for the golden banana katsu dessert.
Hot Take: The cult favourite, Chicken Katsu Curry, hits all the right notes and for vegetarians, the Chilli Tantanmen Ramen, a rich umami broth layered with a medley of mushrooms, will keep you coming back for another spoonful.
DELHI NCR:
4. SWAN (Omakase Dining Experience)

If you're craving something truly unforgettable, clear your calendar for Swan’s latest culinary collab. For just two nights (July 25 & 26), the Mehrauli hotspot is teaming up with Dubai’s celebrated Japanese fine-dining restaurant TakaHisa for a rare, first-ever-in-India omakase experience. Expect a progression of refined courses highlighting ingredients flown in directly from Japan: think glistening slices of sashimi, melt-in-your-mouth toro, seared Wagyu, and signature dishes plated with breathtaking precision.
5. Latango
Latango, the latest addition to Delhi’s Epicuria at Nehru Place, is a bold new European-leaning dining concept from Sahil Sambhi, blending the flavours of Italy, France, and Latin America into one stylish, sun-soaked space. The menu designed by Italian chefs Roberto Blondi and Giuseppe Stanchi is both diverse and detailed, without ever feeling overreaching. Think cold appetisers like tenderloin carpaccio drizzled with Cipriani sauce or a zesty octopus salad finished with fried capers and garlic chips. The mains don’t hold back either: the grilled pork belly in green pepper sauce is smoky and satisfying, while the Atlantic crab tagliolini with caviar channels coastal elegance. But some of the most delightful surprises come from the mashups—like the burrata and truffle shokupan, which pairs creamy indulgence with the crunch of Japanese milk bread, or the spicy tuna over crispy rice, a clever twist on nigiri.
Hot Take: Don’t skip dessert: The tiramisu arrives in a caviar tin, layered with pearls of double espresso and black rum.
6. Si Nonna, Gurgaon

Celebrated for its 24-hour fermented sourdough crust, premium ingredients, and open-kitchen format, Si Nonna’s is a go-to place for all your pizza cravings in Gurgaon. The menu features classics such as Pizza No. 2, a simple combination of tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and EVOO, and Pizza No. 3, a bold creation with tomato sauce, Fior di Latte mozzarella, thinly sliced garlic, pitted Greek Kalamata olives, capers, fresh basil, and EVOO. New additions like the Pizza No. 7 with chicken pepperoni, blue cheese, onion, and basil and Pizza No. 8 featuring Spanish pork salami, pecorino, and fior di latte mozzarella are also must-haves. You can also feast on Panuozzo sandwiches, calzones, freshly baked focaccia, refreshing kombuchas and coolers, artisanal gelatos, and the Nonna’s Tiramisu.

The menu will start with an IZU amuse-bouche and Maldon-salted edamame, moving into options like a shoyu truffle-dressed lettuce salad or a silky hamachi Nikkei salad with seaweed. Highlights include the smoked watermelon with radish and black truffle and a decadent chutoro carpaccio topped with caviar and tobiko. For mains, the oven-baked miso Chilean sea bass with soba noodles is a standout, but even the vegetarian yakisoba with Peruvian asparagus feels indulgent.
