Situated close to the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai, these restaurants are perfect for fuelling up or winding down during Lollapalooza weekend.
The fourth edition of Lollapalooza India is here, and the line-up is nothing short of unhinged—in the best possible way. With global heavyweights like Linkin Park, Playboi Carti, Kehlani and Yungblud set to take over Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course on January 24 and 25, expect two days of sonic chaos, sing-along anthems and very sore feet.
Whether you’re flying in for the madness or navigating it as a local, one thing’s certain: the night doesn’t have to end with the last performance. You’ll need solid pit stops for pre-gig fuel, post-festival drinks, and places to hang out long after the stages power down. From buzzy bars and comfort-food favourites to late-night watering holes perfect for winding down—or turning up again—here’s a curated list of the best places to eat, drink and decompress located near Mahalaxmi Racecourse, before the festival, after it, and well into the night.
The Best Restaurants Near Mahalaxshmi Racecourse, Mumbai:
1. Houdini, Lower Parel
A bar inspired by the legendary Harry Houdini will make your day even more magical. You will find illusory lighting, a bar that has a stage, and food and drinks that are nothing less than culinary illusions. The thecha-spiked Maharashtrian mezze, éclair-shaped samosa soup, Conjuring curry leaf chicken tikka, and a ‘flying’ khow suey are some of the must-haves. The cocktail menu includes options like the blueberry-and-cheese vodka cocktail, The Houdini’s Potion (whisky, passionfruit, curry leaves, and foam), Imli Margarita, a tangy and sweet margarita of tamarind, date and spice, and more. Desserts range from a sea salt no-bake chocolate tart to an 11:11 make-a-wish cake.
2. BARE Bombay, Worli
Hidden behind an art gallery, BARE Bombay is Mumbai’s newest place to dine at. It’s an espresso bar and art gallery by day and turns into a cocktail bar at night with 10 signature cocktails on the menu. The food and drinks are literally served like art to you and some of the must-haves are Crab tosties, cheese soufflé and more.
3. Soraia, Mahalaxmi Racecourse
If you’re looking to balance the high-octane energy of Lollapalooza with a refined dining experience, Soraia makes for an ideal detour. Mumbai’s newest fine-dining address, the modern Indo-European restaurant comes from restaurateurs Afsana Verma and Amit Verma, in collaboration with Dhaval Udeshi, and is designed by Gauri Khan. Set within the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Soraia’s location is a win for festival-goers. The experience begins with a striking glasshouse entrance and an intimate omakase-style cocktail bar and the food and bar programme is described as Neo-Botanical, spotlighting seasonal produce, layered flavours and inventive cocktails rooted in botanicals.
4. Foo Asian Tapas, Lower Parel
Nothing feels as comforting as good Pan-Asian food and Foo Asian has been serving that for a very long time. Whether you plan to grab a bite before or after the festival, the place strikes the right balance between a chill place and fine dining. Grab some small plates, dim sum, sushi, noodles, and handcrafted drinks like the Foo King and Foo Queen that celebrate the essence of Asian street food.
5. Slink & Bardot, Worli
Tucked in the fishing village lanes of Worli but worth the short ride from the racecourse, Slink & Bardot pairs moody, vintage-glam interiors with globally inspired small plates and an outstanding cocktail programme. Since its revival, it’s become one of Mumbai’s most talked-about spots for late dinners and drinks, drawing locals and visitors alike with its French-inspired flavours. The bar frequently hosts live music performances and DJ nights.
6. Toscano, Nariman Point

The warmth of handmade creamy pastas, crisp salads, classic grills, and fresh pizzas can be the perfect place to dine after an exhilarating evening at the lollapalooza. Favourites on their menu feature artisanal Sourdough pizzas, Insalata di formaggio di capra e pere (Goat Cheese & Roasted Pear Salad), Salmone Grigliato (Grilled Norwegian Salmon), Chicken di Toscano (Spinach & Ricotta Filled Chicken Breast, an Italian comfort food) and Spaghetti Aglio Olio. For a round of desserts, you can order the classic Tiramisu or the indulgent Kahlua Mousse. There are refreshing mocktails and cocktails if you wish to pre-game before the event.
7. Late Checkout, Lower Parel
As the name suggests, Late Checkout is where you and your friends can head to after the music festival is over for one last drink. The menu is playful yet polished, with crowd favourites like parmesan churros, duck curry puffs and their Tokyo-style fish and chips. The cocktail list is where Late Checkout truly shines, featuring inventive pours such as Happy Accidents with lemongrass-infused gin and coconut water, the spicy LC Picante, and coffee-inspired creations.
