Scuzi, the cloud kitchen co-founded by Naga Chaitanya, brings gourmet comfort food to Hyderabad with a delivery-first model focused on quality, consistency, and customer delight.
You’ve seen him wear his heart on his sleeve in tender romances and hold his own in gritty thrillers that keep you at the edge of your seat. But lately, Naga Chaitanya has been pouring his heart into an entirely different kind of project—his second love: food. The actor has always been quite vocal and passionate about his love for food and has been spending much of his time behind the scenes of Scuzi, a newly launched cloud kitchen in Hyderabad, co-founded by Varun Tripuraneni, Arjun Jaiswal, and Saniya Jaiswal on a mission to serve up thoughtfully crafted comfort food.
Scuzi: An Italian Cloud-Kitchen by Naga Chaitanya
Launched in March 2025, Scuzi is a delivery-only kitchen offering restaurant-quality Italian comfort food. The menu reads like a greatest hits of guilty pleasures; juicy burgers, cheesy pastas, flavour-packed hummus bowls, wood-fired pizzas, and indulgent churros, all delivered fresh to your door. “Scuzi was born out of a love for comfort food,” says Chaitanya. “The idea came to me after a visit to Como Agua, a quaint little pizzeria in Goa. I fell in love with their fresh, flavourful pizzas and that experience just stuck with me.”
What are we Eating at Scuzi?
Scuzi’s menu is a foodie’s paradise to satisfy every craving. From wood-fired pizzas like the Double Pepperoni and Chowringhee-style, to indulgent pastas such as Rigatoni Bianca with Truffle Oil and spicy Arrabiata, every dish is designed to travel well without losing flavour. The wholesome grain bowls like Jerk Chicken and Charred Broccoli with Hummus cater to the health-conscious and for those with a sweet tooth, the sugar-dusted churros and pillowy tres leches cake round out the experience. What does Naga Chaitanya himself go back for? “The Home Run Burger and the Double Pepperoni Pizza are some of my favourites,” he says.
When asked if his years in cinema have influenced his approach to entrepreneurship, he doesn’t skip a beat. “Storytelling and emotional resonance have played a big role in shaping Scuzi’s identity,” he shares. “We’ve paid close attention to every detail. From packaging to customer experience, it’s all about creating something memorable, something that connects, just like a good film.”
Building A Cloud Kitchen Empire with Vision and Detail
Co-founded by Naga Chaitanya, Varun Tripuraneni, and husband-wife duo Arjun and Saniya Jaiswal, Scuzi was built with intention. While Chaitanya brings the vision, it’s co-founder Arjun Jaiswal who ensures the daily execution is seamless. “I’m very involved in the day-to-day—right from packaging issues to tracking customer reviews,” he says. “We do daily debriefings, monitor feedback, and use those insights to inform our innovation process. It helps us stay agile and customer-focused.”
Scuzi isn’t Chaitanya’s first foray into food. It follows the success of Shoyu, a Pan-Asian cloud kitchen he launched in 2022. While Shoyu tapped into Hyderabad’s growing taste for Asian cuisine, Scuzi was born from a desire to offer something more familiar, indulgent, and wide-reaching. “Shoyu gave us confidence,” he says. “But with Scuzi, we also saw a gap in the delivery space. Premium, delivery-only brands are still a rarity in Hyderabad and we wanted to change that.”
Premium Food Delivery Coming to Your City
The brand’s expansion is already in motion, with plans to scale the cloud kitchen model to metro cities, including Bangalore, Chennai, and Delhi. “We see real potential in building a national presence for Scuzi through a delivery-first model that doesn’t compromise on quality,” the actor notes.
